Crossroads Theatre (formerly Shakespeare in Action), a leading Toronto-based theater company is announcing its inaugural series, Summer In the Park. This unique event will feature three distinct shows at Little Avenue Memorial Park throughout the summer, in collaboration with Theatre Direct, the Weston Silver Band and Clay and Paper Theatre. 

This series is made possible through the support of Toronto Arts Foundation and the Toronto Arts Council as part of the Animating Toronto Parks initiative.

 • Finding Home: A Salmon Journey Upstream

Dates: July 13 and 14 at 12pm and 2pm

Finding Home, in partnership with Theatre Direct and Animacy Theatre Collective, tells the heartwarming story of two inseparable friends, Beagle and Sojo, who are salmon from Lake Ontario. When Beagle feels a compelling urge to embark on a journey upstream, their unbreakable bond is tested.

 • Weston Silver Band

Dates: July 25 and August 1 at 7pm

Now in its 102nd season, the Weston Silver Band will take audiences on a captivating journey through musical history, featuring a diverse selection of music that showcases the band’s versatility and celebrates Weston’s cultural heritage.

 • Art Ambulance

Dates: August 23 and 24 at 7pm, August 25 at 2pm

Art Ambulance is a lively and inclusive mini variety show, inspired by street theater and commedia dell’arte traditions, presenting a series of impactful sketches suitable for all ages, in partnership with Clay and Paper Theatre.
