Village Players continues our 51st season with Tim Kelly's fascinating thriller, Terror By Gaslight, directed by Barbara Larose. It runs from Friday, November 8, to Saturday, November 30.

Welcome to nineteenth-century Philadelphia (with a steampunk twist!), where Dr. Cyrus Norton has a body problem. The brilliant, eccentric surgeon is creating an 'anatomical museum' to further his standing as a recognized expert on anatomy and dissection. But a shortage of cadavers — which can only be legally obtained from the public gallows — has forced Norton to turn to Gin Hester and Scrubbs, who have little concern about where the corpses come from. In their zeal to practice their lucrative trade, the pair soon bring suspicion on Norton, his colleagues, and his household, including his devoted daughter who wants to follow in her father’s footsteps, and the recently-arrived student doctor who has fallen in love with her. 

Chills mount as the situation spirals to blackmail and, inevitably, murder, while a persistent police detective moves nearer to learning the truth. Has Dr. Norton’s School of Anatomy seen its last dissection?
